Fly Casting The Red Tag Fly Fishers’ Club was established in 1932 and has a well-earned reputation amongst fly fishers and fly casters throughout Australia. Over the years, the club has produced numerous medal winners at World Casting Fly-Casting Championships conducted overseas and in Australia. The Fly-casting pool situated in Yarra Bend Park, Fairfield (Mel way map 2D / J2) offers an ideal venue to try and to compare fly fishing equipment on water. As one of the prime objectives of the club is to have a high proficiency of casting skill, fly casting instruction on water is available at the pool on club casting days, or by prior arrangement. Activity Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Long Pavilion, Yarra Bend Park, Fairfield (Mel way map 2D / F4). This gathering offers the chance
to take advantage of our extensive library and a great opportunity to
listen to guest speakers to tie flies and discuss fly-fishing with members
over a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits.
